exactly what you're putting on your hair if you whip up some of your own hair gloss treatments made conveniently from the things found just around your kitchen and pantry.

Whether you embrace your manes' natural hue or even if you color-treat them, there's always room to add some TLC for more vibrancy and shine. But you don't always have to rely on commercially bottled product enhancers for results, homemade treatments work just as well. Instead, restore your shade with nourishing foods right from the pantry.

With these these temporary color-intensifying glosses for blondes, redheads, and brunettes, you'll get similar effects to using store-bought products, but without the long words we can't pronounce. All it takes is a few minutes once a week -- and a few key ingredients. Homemade Color Booster & Shine Gloss For Brunettes: 

Cocoa makes for a deep, richer brown. Cocoa isn't only good for making hot chocolate or adding flavor to a cake -- it's also handy when it’s time to get your hair color touched up. If you want your tresses to be darker, skip the dyes you may use at home or an encounter at the salon -- go the all-natural route with this hair color booster instead. How to whip it up: Honey is a deep moisturizer while the acids in yogurt and vinegar penetrate deeply into the hair shaft, allowing cocoa's pigment to sink in. The natural acids open the cellular doors to the pigmented molecules and make the results more pronounced and vibrant.


The ingredients you'll be needing are as follows: 
  • 1/2 C. Organic Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 C. Organic Plain Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Organic Honey
  • 1 tsp Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
Allow the ingredients to be mixed well into a paste form. Apply the mixture to wet hair, however its best to perform this in the shower because things can get a bit messy, continuing on wash your hair as you would with shampoo and squeeze excess water out. Now spread the paste throughout your hair, starting from the roots and working the mixture down through the tips to cover all of your hair. If you just want the color in certain spots, rub the paste only on the desired areas of your hair. You may choose to leave this mixture on anywhere from 5-30 mins or longer totally depending on your preference. Wrap your hair in a plastic rap or shower cap, then get in the shower and rinse well. You will notice a very soft texture and reflective hue within your hair! You can even have some fun and throw a cake-making, hair-dyeing party with your friends and family. Whichever way you want to go, stir up a chocolaty concoction and slather it on your strands to instantly enhance your hue! 

Homemade Color Booster & Shine Gloss For Blondes: 

Lemon, Tea, and potato are all you'll need for this rich and bright enhancer. The acids in the lemon can certainly help in seeping into the hair shaft. This lets the enzymes within the potato to penetrate and sink in, giving your blonde hair a healthy boost. The tea and lemon also acts as whitening agents, which gives life to your locks and lots of shine. How to create this wonderful gloss: You may use honey as a deep moisturizer to help with dryness caused by the lemon juice, chamomile tea and potato is used for this color hair booster.

  • 1 Organic Lemon, squeeze all the juice out
  • 1 tsp. Organic Honey
  • 1 Organic Raw Potato
  • 1/2 C. Organic Chamomile Tea
Squeeze the juice from the lemon, grate in the raw potato, and blend them all together to form a paste. Add in the chamomile tea, make sure its not scorching hot allow it to cool to room temperature. Stir in all the ingredients. Shampoo your hair, this is best done while in the shower it beats cleaning up after yourself too lol. Apply the paste to your damp hair, spreading the paste from the roots and thoroughly down the mid shaft finishing at the ends, if desired on certain spots, be sure to do just that. You may choose to leave this mixture on for however long you'd like its up to you. Wrap your hair in plastic rap or shower cap letting the heat or hair dryer further enhance and penetrate through the hair. Then get back into the shower and rinse the paste off condition hair and style as usual, its that easy you guys.

Homemade Color Booster & Shine Gloss For ReadHeads: Is it weird if I say that I have this giant thing for redheads? No? Okay! Because I do, Big time! Carrots are good for nourishing and conditioning hair and it is rich in vitamins A, C, E and K which are good nutrients that help moisturize hair. The cranberries also boost red tresses, containing antioxidants that helps the coloring penetrate through the hair strands, the yogurt lactic acid also aids in allowing the carrots and cranberries to bypass the surface of your locks, deeply seeping further into the hair. While honey naturally conditions and hydrates the hair.


What you'll be needing for this paste are as follows:
  • 3 Medium sized carrots
  • 1/2 C. Organic Cranberries
  • 3 Tbs. Organic Plain Yogurt
  • 2 Tbs. Organic Honey
Finely chop the 3 medium sized raw carrots throw them in a food processor or blender and make a coarse paste. Next add in the 3 Tbs of organic yogurt and 2 Tbs of organic honey. Mix the ingredients together and thoroughly. Shampoo your hair as usual and apply the mixture on damp hair spreading the mask from root all the way down through the mid shaft and ending at the tips. Allow for the paste to penetrate by wrapping the hair with a warm towel, plastic wrap, or a shower cap. Leave the cap on for however long you desire and then gently rinse the hair, condition and style hair as usual. 

For the girlies out there who aren't into this whole do it from scratch don't worry I got your back, here I have what I promised for my darker haired ladies that want the oomph of cocoa I recommend. For my girls with that beach blonde hair that want that added demention I recommend. And last and not least are my favorites redhaired ladies out there that want a richer vibrant color I suggest.
