2. Lemon

Add a little bit of rock salt and place the mixture in the sun for three days. Cover it with a muslin cloth to prevent dust and dirt from going in. Ginger can help in curing anorexia. It is the best, simple and effective home remedy for anorexia. Try to consume a good amount of ginger. Take a pinch of salt, few drops of lime juice and add it in the ½ teaspoon of ginger paste. Consume this mixture 2 times in a day for few weeks. You can also drink tea by adding ginger.

5. Apple


Anorexics should be served one or two apples every day. Apples contain certain natural enzymes which stimulate the production of pepsin. Increased production of pepsin by the digestive tract can hasten the digestion process.

6. Sour Grapes


Sour grapes also help to kick start an anorexic individual’s appetite. it comes to stimulating the appetite. The juice from sour grapes is extracted and is utilised to knead bread dough. A pinch of rock salt might be added to the dough. Then, chappatis are made out of this dough which when consumed at a stretch for fifteen days will enhance the appetite there by curing the person of anorexia.

7. Cinnamon

Parsley helps to increase your appetite. It also helps you to get rid of flatulence. Infuse fresh parsley leaves in warm water. Allow them to steep for 30 minutes and then strain. Drink this infusion about 30 minutes before your meals.

10. Mint


Mint is natural appetizer, so consume 2 spoonfuls of mint juice in the morning to help increase your hunger. Within a few days of taking mint juice, you will see a marked change in your eating habits and you will feel more of a craving for food.

11. Pineapple


This is a great home remedy for treating anorexia at home and quite simple to follow. Just consume fresh pineapple every day in the morning. It will help you feel hungry throughout the day and create an urge to eat.

12. Soups
