1. Aloe vera
Aloe vera is another very effective way to treat fever blisters fast. It has natural healing powers and antibacterial properties that help disinfect the infected area. Plus, this herb is known to speed up healing and also reduce pain and inflammation.
Cut an aloe vera leaf to extract the gel. Apply the gel on the affected area with your fingertips. Allow it to dry on its own. Then clean the area with lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft towel. Repeat the process several times a day for about three to four days.
This remedy will keep the infected area clean and soft so that the skin doesn’t split open, which can cause further infection.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is very effective in curing fever blisters. You must apply the vinegar on the blisters. You can also mix the vinegar in water and drink it. Apple cider vinegar helps in detoxifying the body and killing the virus responsible for fever blisters.
3. Baking soda
Baking soda can be directly applied to the fever blisters. With the application of the baking soda, an alkaline state is maintained on the skin.

4. Cold milk
Soak a cotton ball in milk and pat directly on the surface of the sore. Leave on for approximately 20 minutes before gently wiping away with a cool washcloth. Repeat this remedy to manage pain.
5. Egg And Yogurt
A mask of eggs and yogurt is made for preventing formation of fever blisters. This mask is considered to have a cooling effect thus reducing the inflammation like feeling associated with the blisters. The mask is generally applied on the blisters that are formed on the nose other than lips and mouth. Combine one tablespoon of honey, fresh yogurt and an egg and mix it well. This thick mask is applied to the fever blisters evenly and left for about half an hour. Later, rinse off with warm water. This soothes the fever blisters and reduces the redness. The basic component of eggs and yogurt is lysine. Lysine is a amino acid which is required to combat the virus that causes the fever blisters.
6. Garlic
Garlic is one of the most common remedies that work for various skin ailments. Make a paste of 2-3 cloves of garlic and apply it regularly. Let it be on the fever blister at least for 15 minutes. Garlic is a good antibiotic and helps to kill the bacteria, causing fever blisters.
7. Grapefruit Seed
The grapefruit seeds are the richest source of antioxidants and antimicrobial properties and these are highly useful for reducing the fever blisters easily. First of all the patient needs to extract some fresh juice from the Aloe Vera leaves and then they need to crush some grapefruit seeds. Honey is also not suitable for treating fever blister in infants
9. Ice Pack
People suffering from fever blisters can use ice for retarding the growth of the fever blisters. The ice cube can be easily applied on the surface of the blisters to get a quick relief, and it should be repeated continuously. The ice must be applied for around 10-12 minutes.
The same process is to be repeated for around 5 hours. Application of ice near the infected area will stop the flow of blood to that particular area. Thus, the fever blister growth will be retarded. It will not be able to spread after the application of ice.
10. Plum Juice
This juice is highly beneficial when the patients have blisters in their mouths or on the lips. To cure the blisters the patients need to rinse their mouths with the fresh plum juice 3 times a day along with warm water. Apart from this they can also dip cotton balls in the juice and can apply those cotton balls on the blisters to sink them down.
